The Extension Harness is necessary for Trucks that have a Extended Cab Long Bed or a Crew Cab Long Bed. Due to the Cab Length being Longer and the Bed Length being Long, a harness extension is necessary to compensate for the length difference. This does NOT apply to ANY Short Beds or Standard Cab Trucks.
